Founder's pitch

Built From Experience, Not Theory

Dubs was built from experience, not theory. We once took a theory and made it into the busiest axe throwing venues in the country. Combining multiple revenue sources to create consistency and financial stability is one of the shortcomings in the entertainment industry.

We have spent years operating entertainment businesses, learning what drives traffic, what increases customer spend, what keeps people coming back, and where niche single-attraction concepts fall short.

Dubs is the next evolution of those lessons: multiple experiences under one roof, with high-value experiences, designed to capture a much wider customer base, capture a return customer foundation, integrate with the local third-party school event company for consistent and large-ticket school events, and create stronger revenue per visit per customer.

We know the risks because we have lived them. We have dealt with debt from starting with too little, difficult leases and landlords, city closures from being too busy, changing consumer behavior month to month, market changes, and operational setbacks — and kept succeeding.

The capital plan may change. The timeline may adjust. The path may evolve.

But we are going to build Dubs and we are going to be the best.

Our confidence comes from knowing how to adapt, solve problems, and push until the doors open and we are the best entertainment around.

Why Dubs

ONE CUSTOMER LEADS TO MULTIPLE PURCHASES

Whoop Axe historically demonstrated customer demand and captured approximately 50,000 annual customers despite offering a narrower and more niche attraction set. Dubs expands the customer capture market by combining adventure, low-barrier activities (Takes No Talent activities or TNTs), dining, active nightlife, memberships, large parties and private events in a single destination.

Ten Segments. One Roof.

The broad attraction mix reduces dependence on any one customer type or any one activity, smoothing weekday, weekend, daytime and late-night demand.

Expansion strategy

Built To Repeat

The first location is designed to fund the next.
  • Goal to retain approximately $500,000–$1M to fund future locations.
  • Each location may operate through a separate LLC under a parent structure.
  • Future locations will be evaluated through separate planning and capital-raising processes.
  • Expansion decisions will be based on demonstrated operating performance, market demand and available capital.

Some cities have better buildings and location options but due to their size and red tape may postpone opening  to over 12 months. Cities like Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Anaheim have slow, expensive, and unfriendly business start up processes.
